Work in Glen Lake Estates Neighborhood Continues

Work Completed last week:
Suburban Concrete (Concrete Improvements):
·         Due to the amount of rain received this past week, Suburban Concrete was not able to begin work on Covert Road or Huber Lane.  The concrete work on these 2 streets will take approximately 2 weeks to complete, so it has been decided to postpone this work until after the July 4th weekend.
Arrow Road (Roadway Improvements):
·         Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road:
o   Installed new asphalt surface layer
o   Completed pavement marking
·         Glenlake Estates Neighborhood
o   Milled existing asphalt pavement
o   Performed asphalt patching of driveways where concrete curb & gutter or sidewalk repairs were made.
·         Partial pavement removal and asphalt paving as part of the MARS program along:
o   Strawberry Lane:  between Maple Leaf Drive and Winnetka Road
o   Indian Ridge Court: Indian Ridge Drive to North cul-de-sac
o   Maple Leaf Drive: between Pfingsten Road and Strawberry Lane

 Anticipated work next week includes:
Suburban Concrete (Concrete Improvements):
·         AFTER THE JULY 4TH WEEKEND, begin concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk replacements along:
o   Covert Road from Washington Road to Michael Manor
o   Huber Lane from Central Road to northerly cul-de-sac.
·         Residents will be notified prior to concrete work on your street. Details will be given regarding timing of the construction and access restrictions to your driveways.
Arrow Road (Roadway Improvements):
·         Glenlake Estates Neighborhood 
o   Installing new asphalt surface layer on July 2nd and July 3rd, weather permitting.
o   Continue asphalt patching of driveways where concrete curb & gutter or sidewalk repairs were made. 

As you can notice, the primary objective next week is to complete the work that has been started prior to the July 4th Holiday. Following the holiday weekend, construction along other streets will begin.

Asphalt Paving of Glenview Parking Lot Scheduled for Next Week.

Due to weather conditions and threats of rain throughout the past week, a limited amount of work was completed versus what was originally scheduled.

Work Completed last week:
Suburban Concrete (Concrete Improvements):
·         Completed concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk replacements at the Glenview Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road.
·         Completed concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk replacements within the Glen Lake Estates neighborhood.

Arrow Road (Roadway Improvements):
·         Milled existing asphalt pavement and performed asphalt patching at the Glenview Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road. 

Humir Construction (Underground Utility Improvements):
·         Performed underground utility repairs and installations along:
o    Covert Road from Washington Road to Michael Manor

Landscapers also installed topsoil and sod along Grove Street between Roosevelt and Spruce.

South Public Library Parking Lot and Glenlake Estates Concrete Repairs On-Going

This past week, Arrow Road completed pavement removal and/or asphalt paving  as part of the 2014 Resurfacing Project along the following roadways:
·         Grove Street from Spruce to Roosevelt
·         Hawthorne Lane from East Lake Avenue to Elmwood Avenue 

The following neighborhoods/street sections were completed as part of the MARS program:
·         Tall Trees subdivision along Sequoia Trail, Blackthorn Drive, Redbud Land, and Silverwillow Drive
·         Rolling Pass from Central Road to north end
·         Kings Lane from Wagner Road to Brandon Road (Paving to be complete on Saturday, June 14, 2014)
·         Pleasant Lane from Wagner Road to west dead end
·         Brandon Road from 2000 block to south dead end
·         Queens Lane from Wagner Road to east dead end
·         Balmoral Avenue & Court from Linden Lane to north dead end
 
Humir Construction, the underground contractor, performed manhole adjustments within the Glenlake Estates neighborhood. 

Suburban Concrete began concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk removals within the Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road and the Glenlake Estates neighborhood.  The contractor only removed the curb & gutter and sidewalk in the Glenlake Estates neighborhood that does not restrict access to driveways at this time and prior to the weekend. 
 
Anticipated work next week includes:

Suburban Concrete (Concrete Improvements):
·         Glenlake Estates Neighborhood:
o   Not all residents in the neighborhood will have concrete repairs that restrict access to their driveways.  Residents that are affected will be notified via a separate letter prior to access being restricted.
o   Complete spot concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk removal.
o   Pour new concrete curb & gutter and sidewalks in areas previously removed.

o   Milling existing asphalt pavement
o   Installing new asphalt surface layer

Asphalt Removal and Replacement continues througout the Village.

This past week, Arrow Road completed pavement removal along the following roadways:
·         Grove Street from Spruce to Roosevelt
·         Hawthorne Lane
·         Tall Trees subdivision along Sequoia Trail, Blackthorn Drive, Redbud Land, and Silverwillow Drive
·         Rolling Pass from Central Road to north end

Humir Construction, the underground contractor, completed the storm sewer structure replacements in the Glenview Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road and a manhole repair in the Railroad Avenue commuter parking lot.

Anticipated work next week includes:

·         Concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk repairs within Glenview Public Library parking lot south of Glenview Road on Monday & Tuesday

·         Roadway Paving throughout the week along:

Roadway Removal and Replacement at Various Locations to begin This Week

This week on Grove Street, Arrow Road, will be removing the existing pavement, performing base repairs as needed, and grading the roadway in preparation for new asphalt pavement. It is anticipated that this work will begin on Thursday 6/5.
 
Also this week and next week, Arrow Road will be performing removal of two inches of the existing asphalt and placing a new riding surface on Hawthorne Lane from East Lake Ave to Elmwood Avenue.  Moreover, this week Arrow will be performing partial pavement removal and replacement as part of the 2014 Minor Area Repair Strategy (MARS) Pavement improvements in the Tall Trees subdivision, including:  Sequoia Trail, Blackthorn Drive, Redbud Lane, and Silverwillow Drive.  It is anticipated that this work will begin on Thursday 6/5.  MARS is an annual maintenance of existing roadways within the Village limits.

Also this week, Humir Construction, will begin underground utility improvements within the Glenview Public Library Parking Lot south of Glenview Road. This work is anticipated to begin on Thursday 6/5.

Next week, Arrow Road will be performing partial roadway removal and replacement (MARS) in the east side of the Village at the below locations. It is anticipated that this work will begin on Monday 6/9. 

·         Brandon Road from 2000 block to south dead end

·         Balmoral Avenue & Court from Linden Lane to north dead end

·         Pleasant Lane from Wagner Road to west dead end

·         Kings Lane from Wagner Road to Brandon Road

·         Queens Lane from Wagner Road to east dead end
